Graphite excellence
Drawing upon decades of mining industry expertise and leveraging cutting-edge technologies, we are on the path to establishing the groundwork for delivering a significant portion of the EU’s forecasted need for battery-grade graphite. This alignment with the Critical Raw Materials Act underscores our commitment to sustainable and efficient resource extraction.
Sustainability Initiatives:
Eco-Friendly Practices: We employ low-impact mining techniques to minimize disruption to the local ecosystem. By carefully managing extraction processes, We ensure that the surrounding environment remains largely unaffected.
Circularity: We aim to support and develop initiatives for circularity within the graphite industry.
Community Engagement: Close collaboration with local communities is a cornerstone of the project. We aim to support local employment opportunities, regional development, and foster positive relationships with residents.
EU Critical Raw Materials Act: Sarvisto Graphite aligns with the EU’s strategic goals. By ensuring a stable supply of critical raw materials, such as graphite, Sarvisto contributes to Europe’s self-sufficiency in clean energy technologies.
The next phase of the project will focus on scaling up to meet demand. The geological potential in the area provides an opportunity to increase the annual production of concentrate to at least 150,000 tonnes per year. We are convinced that Sarvisto plays a pivotal role in shaping a sustainable and resource-secure future.
